International Aggie Partnership Program – International Student Association

The Texas A&M International Student Association includes students worldwide who strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Aggies. Its mission is to promote cultural awareness, advocate for international students and encourage global leadership skills in its members.

To further ISA’s mission and meet the goals of putting the spotlight on international students and spreading cultural awareness, ISA is proud to announce the International Aggie Partnership Program. ISA wants to partner with Texas A&M nation clubs and other cultural organizations to co-sponsor public programs on campus that will provide education and greater awareness of the homelands or ethnic/cultural backgrounds of our international students.

The program can range from a simple activity such as a game, demonstration or lecture/presentation, to something more complex like a festival, banquet or tournament.

Programs selected as an official International Aggie Partnership Program by ISA will:

  • Be reimbursed for up to $1,000 in qualified expenses.
  • Have their event/program promoted by ISA.

Eligibility and Preferences

Any registered Texas A&M student organization in good standing or MSC Committee that represents international students or promotes cultural awareness is eligible to apply. ISA will not fund any events that include alcohol nor any that promote a political agenda. Programs that are scheduled during the weeks of Global Tailgate (September 15-21, 2024) or I-Week (March 23-29, 2025) are not eligible for application.

Preference will be given to:

  • Programs that are fully developed concepts with detailed plans for execution
  • Proposals that involve more than one student organization
  • Proposals that focus on a specific ethnicity, culture, country or region
  • Organizations that provide their own funding for the proposed program that is equal to or above the request from ISA

Proposal Process

All proposals must be received by ISA at least 30 days prior to the proposed program.

Before completing the form, be sure to prepare a timeline for planning and implementation of the event/program, create a thorough budget including all costs and create a program description with all details of the activities (500 words or less).

Applications will be reviewed in the order of submission. Within five business days of submission, you will receive an email response from ISA. Organizations with high-quality proposals will be invited to meet with the ISA Proposal Selection Team to discuss their program. Organizations will be notified of the final decision within a week of their interview.

Other Important Information

This is not a grant. Organizations selected are considered partners with ISA in sponsoring the program. The funding from ISA will reimburse expenses after the program’s completion. Be sure to save receipts! ISA cannot provide reimbursement for undocumented expenses.

Each program selected as an International Aggie Partnership Program must:

  • Be open to the public,
  • Promote cultural awareness,
  • Acknowledge ISA as a sponsor of the program,
  • Have the ISA logo be part of ALL marketing materials such as flyers and social media posts, and
  • Provide ISA with final details at least two weeks in advance of the program to allow time for ISA to adequately promote it.
  • If there is tabling, ISA would be invited.

Failure to comply with the International Aggie Partnership Program requirements will result in delay or cancellation of the reimbursement funds.

If you have any questions, you may email isa@msc.tamu.edu.
