The International Student Association (ISA) is making a short film – composed of unscripted first person stories told by Aggies about racism. We hope to receive replies from current students, alumni, and faculty, from everywhere in the world.

What is it to you?

No matter where you come from, we’d like you to share your perspective with a video submission. With your submissions, we believe we can illustrate a more complete perspective on racism for aggies everywhere.

Regarding your identity, we only ask for your first name and country of origin.

If you’re interested, please submit your video here.  The deadline is now March 14 2021.

Guidelines:

  • choose an indoor spot where you won’t be interrupted
  • choose a simple background
  • if using a phone, turn it sideways (landscape)
  • do a test recording to ensure quality that’s acceptable to you
  • try not to re-do it; central to this project is being simple and straight-forward
  • length of video should be 1-5 minutes
  • for the sake of consistency across all submissions, please look straight at the camera

We’ve created an example video here.

I emphasize that these are simple examples, meant to illustrate the mechanics. We want your ideas, your thoughts, your feelings.

RACISM: A Global Perspective

ISA plans to open the RACISM project for public viewing via this page around the end of March. Watch for ISA’s announcements when it is available.
